May 22 - CyclingBuddy Charity Challenge To End In Gibraltar

textThe Hearts and Minds Challenge from Greater Manchester will be taking part in “The CyclingBuddy Charity Challenge” cycling 300 miles in 4 days. Amongst the 21 cyclists taking part are Keith Duffy from Boyzone and Coronation Street, and Rik Waddon silver medalist at the Paralympics. Alan Montegriffo and Ryan Montegriffo are joining the support team throughout the challenge.

The Challenge starts in Malaga and the cyclists will travel through Ronda, Seville and Cadiz before finishing in Gibraltar where there will be an end of event celebration party. Hearts And Minds Challenge is a young, dynamic, innovative and passionate organisation formed in 2010 which is bringing positive change into the lives of those affected by autism.They are currently running a fundraising campaign to raise £1 million so they can open a Centre of Education for Autism in Greater Manchester. Their mission is to raise the quality of life of individuals and their families affected by autism by ensuring the highest standards in education, care and support leading to employment and equality of living opportunities.

Autism is a disorder that affects the development of the brain in areas that control social interaction and communication and is marked by severe difficulties in communicating and forming relationships with people, in developing language and in using abstract concepts.
