May 22 - Afternoon Tea At The Convent
On Tuesday afternoon, Lady Johns hosted afternoon tea for members of the public in the historic Banqueting Hall at the Convent. Lady Johns is keen to provide an opportunity for Gibraltar residents to attend a reception at The Convent before His Excellency and Lady Johns leave Gibraltar in the autumn. A series of afternoon teas will be hosted between March and September of this year and will be open to members of the public.
The afternoon teas are held in the historic Banqueting Hall, one of the most spectacular rooms at The Convent. Modelled on a Medieval Hall, the Banqueting Hall is a visual display of some 1300 years of history, depicted through coats of arms, shields, pennants and oil paintings.
Members of the public who would like to register their interest in attending, are kindly asked to telephone The Convent on 200 45440 or email the name(s) and address(es) of those who wish to attend to [email protected]
