Sep 24 - Laguna Youth Club Hosts Successful National Day BBQ
24 September 2013
The Laguna Youth Club held a fun-packed barbeque on the eve of National Day. The members themselves came up with the idea of hosting this end-of-summer event in which young people could develop a number of skills, such as cooking and arts & crafts, whilst preparing and running the barbeque.
Entertainment for the BBQ was provided by DJ Jona, one of the youth workers at the youth club. The music found its way into neighbouring estates and at one point there were even people dancing in the flats across the bridge in Glacis Estate. It was a fantastic way to start the National Day celebrations for all involved.
Special thanks go to Lisa Olivera, Sandra Shipley and Jonathan Fortunato for all their hard and positive work.
