Nov 25 - Temple Rock PCC Fund Appoints Nigel Birrell As New Fund Manager

Gibraltar’s Delta Management, Fund managers for the Temple Rock PCC Fund one of Gibraltar’s leading firms for Experienced Investor Fund (EIF)  recently announced the appointment of Nigel Birrell as a Director of Delta Management Services Ltd, Temple Rock’s fund management services provider.  Delta is an independent company with over 40 years of relevant experience within the real estate industry as well as collective experience within diverse sectors including structural surveying, economics, financial services, and property management via firms such as Knight Frank and CBRE.

A qualified lawyer, until recently Birrell was the Group Director for Mergers & Acquisitions at Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment PLC the world’s number one online gaming company.

In an official statement, Delta commented:  “We are pleased to have Nigel Birrell on-board and working on the Temple Rock project.  His wealth of experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking and management services is a valuable asset for Temple Rock and Delta.”

Birrell worked as Senior Vice President in the European mergers and acquisitions group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (now part of Credit Suisse First Boston) and spent 10 years working in corporate finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein before moving to the FTSE 250 media group HIT Entertainment PLC in 1999 becoming a Main Board director in charge of M&A. investor relations, analyst and public relations, Guinness World Records and Fun Radio, of which he was its first Chairman. HIT is now part of the Mattel Group in the US.  He also served as CEO of Gullane PLC during its integration with HIT. Following HIT's sale to Apax in 2005 Nigel joined PartyGaming PLC (now Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment PLC and until July 2013 was a Group Director on the Executive Board responsible for M&A, business development and investments.
