Nov 26 - School Lunch Attendants Presentation on Pension Scheme Options
Yesterday Unite the Union, together with the Government’s Human Resources department, held a well-attended presentation on the Government’s pension scheme at the John Macintosh hall for school lunch attendants. The meeting was opened by Unite’s Government Convenor Angelique Borastero and gave the members an insight on pension options and their benefits as well as other relevant information.
Earlier this year Unite signed a negotiation with the Government transferring Lunch School Attendants from a private company to a Government owned company. This includes the benefits of a Government pension scheme.
Unite thanked the Government’s Human Resources Department for their co-operation, and insisted that the Union will continue to work closely with the HR department, on issues affecting the public sector.
