Jun 18 - Costa Launches Ministry Website for An Insight into Flagship Projects
This morning Minister Neil Costa launched the Ministry for Tourism, Commercial Affairs, Public Transport and the Port’s website, designed and developed by Piranha Designed. The site features press releases and podcasts outlining projects being carried out by the Ministry, including the recently discussed beach regeneration programme.
Ministryoftransport.gov.gi features information on all the Minister’s portfolios and is set to see news on a number of flagship projects including the Literary Festival, different airlines, the port and commercial affairs.
Present at the launch was website developers Julian Byrne and Henry Earle of Piranha Designs as well as Christian Olivares from the Ministry.
Minister Costa insisted that the video podcasts would be updated at least once a month. He added that the website was extremely user friendly, being compatible with all mobile devices. A further section of the site will include a Meet the Team category, which the Minister claimed would help people put a face to a name when it comes to liaising with members of the public.
The site will also provide links to all other websites supported by the Ministry, including the Tourist Board, Airport, Port, bus company and ship registration websites.
