Jul 21 - ERG Appeals For Humanitarian Aid For Gaza
’The terrible tragedy of the current crisis in Gaza is something which, we are sure, we all feel,’ Equality Rights Group Chairman, Felix Alvarez has stated in response to the UN’s urgent call for assistance.
‘If one part of our body is hurt, the whole of us is in pain. We too, in Gibraltar, feel the pain of human suffering elsewhere! And we respond.
‘UNRWA (the UN’s Relief & Works Agency) is in dire and very urgent need of mattresses, medicines and other vital supplies for the injured, dying and dead.
‘ERG appeals to the generosity of Gibraltar and its Government to respond to our fellow human beings in this time of suffering. Regardless of one’s politics or views on the reasons and causes of the conflict, let us focus on the children, the women and men who are at the receiving end of this pain.
