Dec 08 - Chief Minister Visits FSC
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, visited the Financial Services Commission (“FSC”) offices today. The FSC is the regulator of the Gibraltar financial services market, regulating providers of financial services conducted in both Gibraltar and other jurisdictions.
The Chief Minister was met by the Chief Executive Officer, Samantha Barrass, who showed the Chief Minister around the office to meet with staff. During the visit, the Chief Minister commented on the open plan environment and appreciated how the layout is used to build and strengthen working relationships between the different teams.
FSC CEO Samantha Barrass said: “We are delighted that the Chief Minister visited the offices today and spent time speaking to staff. The Government supports our focus to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the FSC’s authorisation, supervision and enforcement activity. This opportunity meant that the Chief Minister could see the Commission working hard to deliver our strategic objectives and priorities.”
