Feb 02 - Notre Dame Hold Dog Fouling Assembly
Last Friday, Notre Dame School had an assembly presented by Christopher Segovia and Sarah Maclaren from the Environmental Agency.
Notre Dame Children will be taking part in a poster competition on 'Dog Fouling'. The assembly aimed to help educate the children on the dangers of dog fouling, a knowledge that they could then pass on to dog owners at large. Issues such as fines for dog fouling and how the Environmental Agency and Police are helping to keep our community clean were discussed.
The children had the opportunity to ask questions about hygiene issues and diseases that dog fouling can cause, how we can all help by working together and ideas for designing their own posters to inform the public. The Environmental Agency will choose three posters from the school and print these for distribution around the school community.
