Feb 11 - New Arrangements For Payment Of Government Housing Rent

Following the transfer of Housing to New Harbours, the department will retain a presence in the centre of town in order to assist those Government tenants who wish to pay in cash to do so. On Monday 16th February, as originally intended, a dedicated Housing counter for the collection of housing rents from Government tenants will open at the Post Office in Main Street.

The public are reminded that the principal offices are now located at Unit 79/80 Harbour Walk, New Harbours. These new offices are completely accessible and have lift access from the parking deck and from the ground deck. Blue parking zones in New Harbours are available free for a period not exceeding two hours.

Furthermore there is free public transport, serviced by the Number 3 and 9 bus routes.

The public are reminded that rents can also be paid by Standing Order as well as on-line via the Government’s website.

The opening hours at the Main Post office are Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm.
