May 15 - Gibraltar V Germany Escorts Writing Competition

Twenty two schoolchildren will have the opportunity of a lifetime to accompany their football idols onto the pitch in the upcoming European qualifier between Gibraltar and world champions Germany on 13^th June in Faro.

Working together with the Department of Education, the GFA is running a writing competition of 200 words titled “The Gibraltar Men’s National Football Team” for all pupils in Years 6 and 7. 

Children are encouraged to write this from any perspective, be it historical, factual or personal and can either be handwritten or typed up. 

Competition winners will also get one complimentary child ticket and two complimentary adult tickets, a GFA shirt, return coach travel to Portugal, one night stay in Faro, an evening meal on 13^th June and breakfast the following day.  The children will be escorted by two adults, one male and one female.

All entries should be handed in to the GFA office at 64 Irish Town by midday on Wednesday 27th May or handed in at the respective schools.

Winners will be contacted by Friday 29th May and parents of the winners invited to a meeting to discuss arrangements for the trip to Portugal.
