Apr 26 - Gibraltar To Host First Ever UEFA Champions League Preliminary Round
The GFA has announced that, after significant lobbying by the Association, UEFA have selected Gibraltar as the first ever hosts of the UEFA Champions League Preliminary Round in June.
The competition will feature the champions of Gibraltar, Kosovo, Andorra and San Marino and will consist of two semi-finals (to be determined by a draw) and a final. The two semi-finals will take place on the same day (26th June) at the Victoria Stadium. The final will take place on the 29th June at the Victoria Stadium.
The winners of the final will progress to the First Qualifying Round of the UEFA Champions League. The three remaining teams will progress automatically to the Second Qualifying Round of the UEFA Europa League.
Further information on the UEFA Champions League Preliminary Round, including kick-off times and ticketing arrangements, will be released in due course.
