Mar 28 - Jörgen Pettersson Announces 100 Days Until NatWest International Island Games Opening Ceremony
Jörgen Pettersson, Chairman of the International Island Games Association has announced that the NatWest International Island Games opening ceremony is 100 days away.
Jörgen Pettersson, Chairman of the International Island Games Association said: "Today it is only 100 days before the Opening Ceremony of the 18th NatWest International Island Games in Gibraltar. With the famous Rock in the background well over 2,000 competitors and officials will start a week of joy, friendship and competition.
"On behalf of the International Island Games Association I would like to express our gratitude to the Government of Gibraltar and the Gibraltar Island Games Association for making this possible.
"Gibraltar has become a role model for islands all over the world in their work towards a sustainable and inspiring future. The sports people of Gibraltar have shown dedication and inspiration in their hard work to make the 14 different sports a success. Good luck, thank you and see you soon!"
