Aug 16 - Minister Opens Junior Chess Festival

The Minister for Sport Steven Linares this morning officially opened the third Junior Chess International Festival at the Caleta Hotel. The Minister started off play by making the first move in what is one of the most high profile junior chess festivals in the world.
Over 100 competitors from around the globe have registered and the event is scheduled to end on the 20th August. The total prize money up for grabs is £10,000.
