Bayside Sports Centre is set to receive a major remodel as part of the Government’s policy to increase facilities. The project will include upgrades to to the main spectator stands and a new adjacent building. The GFA and GSLA have been working closely with UEFA to implement improvements to changing rooms, develop a new media centre and a ‘doping control station.

Other sports carried out at the complex will also reap the benefits of the revamp, which is set to further include a fit-for purpose building for the Stay and Play programme, an enhanced seminar/Lecture room facility, and improved and more welcoming bar and cafeteria area as well as a mezzanine level to provide office and storage space.

The works will commence on Monday 20^th October and will cause disruptions in terms of access routes to certain facilities. The tender for the project was awarded to Sharrock Shand for £2.74 million.
