The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, today met with the Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Lord David Cameron, at the Foreign Office in London in order to discuss the outstanding issues and matters in the ongoing negotiation with the European Union in relation to Gibraltar.
We spoke to the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo moments after his annual address to the United Nations’ Fourth Committee. We spoke about incursions, whether Spain can be trusted and the impression left by his meeting during the summer with the C-24 Chairman.
Gibraltar is an “anachronism” that can only be decolonized via bilateral negotiations between the UK and Spain – this was the main thrust of the address delivered by the Spanish diplomat Javier Gutierrez at today’s session of the United Nations’ Fourth Committee.
