The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
The Government has said that the Opposition’s incessant criticism of its handling of the proposed LNG power station and potential bunkering of LNG “makes it abundantly clear that it is they who wish to stifle the debate on LNG and manipulate the importance of this issue in a desperate attempt to score cheap political points.”
The Government says it is pleased to announce that as part of an initiative of the Ministry of Business and Employment, the Business Support Unit will launch its Seminar Programme for 2015 on the 18th March at the O’Callaghan Eliott Hotel in the Tercentenary 1 Suite at 3:00 pm.
