European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for ForeignAffairs José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels on Thursday 16th May.
The Government says that the grading of Gibraltar’s bathing waters has improved in recent years, according to the latest data. All bathing waters in Gibraltar are sampled by the Environmental Agency on weekly basis, the samples are analysed by the Public Analyst at the Gibraltar Health Authority.
The GSD says that it considers that the Minister for Justice, Neil Costa, and, through him, the Government of Gibraltar need to carefully consider what steps they should now take, in the interests of law and order, in the decision to grant parole to Issac Marrache. In particular, says the Opposition, they need to review whether the Minister was right to attempt to discontinue his appeal against the decision of the Parole Board chaired by Pepe Baldachino.
