The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, today met with the Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Lord David Cameron, at the Foreign Office in London in order to discuss the outstanding issues and matters in the ongoing negotiation with the European Union in relation to Gibraltar.
A training event was recently organised by the Care Agency for those who workclosely with individuals with learning disabilities. The day aimed to raise awareness and understanding of learning disabilities in Gibraltar.
The one day training course was held over 5 consecutive days so that as many staff as possible were able to attend while still operating the service. It was hosted by the British Institute of Learning Disabilities and was attended by approximately 140 people working within different departments of the Care Agency.

The Trade Union Movement has witnessed how since the commencement of the current financial crisis which started in 2007/08, how hard won benefits and services are being cut particularly throughout Europe. These cuts are having a detrimental effect on the lives of ordinary working people, coupled with very high levels of unemployment, especially among the youth.
