The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
The Government has confirmed that it has now received Rt Hon Sir Jonathan Parker's report of the inquiry into the Dr Giraldi Home which was established by terms of reference set out by the Chief Minister, the Hon Fabian Picardo in October 2012 under the Commissions of inquiry Act.
In a further Government/ Opposition back and fourth discussing the Gibraltar Bus Company’s new fleet of buses, No.6 has insisted that there was ‘a litany of mismanagement and of wrong decisions taken in relation to the Bus Company during the GSD's time in office.’ For this reason they claim it is hypocritical that the Opposition should complain about decisions taken now.
