European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for ForeignAffairs José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels on Thursday 16th May.
The Government says it has received the sad news of the unexplained violent deaths of a family that appears to have recently become resident on the Rock with profound shock.
A family of four were found dead in a flat in Boschetti’s Steps this morning by RGP Officers. The lifeless bodies of a 31-year-old British male, a 37-year-old Spanish female and two Spanish girls – one a four-year-old, the other a six-week old baby – were found at 11:35am after police broke down the door.
The Government has assured the GSD, following concerns raised during the Chief Minister’s witnessing of a ship to ship LNG transfer, that the Gibraltar Port Authority’s code of practice will regulate the process, incorporating all applicable international regulations and industry- recognised best practices.
