Two old school friends (Michelle Manning and Maria Palma) recently organised a Charity Skydive in Sevilla. Over 35 people took part in the event, raising a total of £10,378.
Aug 26 - Airport Fire And Rescue Driver Training
The Airport Fire & Rescue Service is currently carrying out Emergency Response Driver Training for its new drivers. During next week, new drivers will be undergo practical training on Gibraltar’s roads so the public are likely to see and hear Fire trucks making use of their blue lights and two-tone horns.
Aug 26 – Affordable Housing Schemes Are Moving Ahead – Government
The Government has said, in response to a press release from the GSD’s Roy Clinton, that there was a very good reason that it did not give any comments to GBC about Hassan Centenary Terraces. The reason, says Number Six, was that GBC did not ask for them having only asked questions about Bob Peliza Mews.
Aug 26 - Chief Minister: ‘How Dare Mr Hammond Insult The Professionals?’
Number Six says that the GSD’s Trevor Hammond “seems to have had a ‘Eureka’ moment”, having discovered that the government is considering the potential for LNG bunkering. In fact, says the Government, it has continually been made it clear that it has been studying this potential “for some considerable time”.
