The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, today met with the Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Lord David Cameron, at the Foreign Office in London in order to discuss the outstanding issues and matters in the ongoing negotiation with the European Union in relation to Gibraltar.
Last Saturday saw the seventh outing of Gibraltar’s fun-packed Charity Cardboard Boat Race. Taking place, as always, in Ocean Village Marina, organisers William Tilley Lodge RAOB managed to pull off another vintage event for competitors and spectators alike.
The GSD Opposition says it has taken time to consider the outcome of yesterday’s DPC meeting to grant a certificate for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the LNG power station and believes that the ‘rubber stamping’ exercise “has only served to continue the series of flawed processes that have existed throughout this project.” The party says that it is unfortunate that the same information made available in advance to the committee had not been made available to the Opposition despite requests.
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, in his capacity as Leader of the House in Parliament, has today thanked Mrs Isobel Ellul-Hammond for her service as a Member of Parliament since December 2011.
