The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, today met with the Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Lord David Cameron, at the Foreign Office in London in order to discuss the outstanding issues and matters in the ongoing negotiation with the European Union in relation to Gibraltar.
The Government notes that Mr Feetham recently stated on GBC and has repeated in a Press Release that the Expenditure of No 6 Convent Place, the Chief Minister’s Office for 2013/14 was 45% higher than the sum provided in the Approved Estimates and that Expenditure in that year for all Government Departments was £50M higher than the amount estimated.
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, is travelling to Seville to appear on Canal Sur Television. Mr Picardo has been invited on the breakfast show “La Tertulia del Buenos Dias” tomorrow at 10 in the morning.
The Government is today giving notice of its intention to move a motion which would bestow the Freedom of the City upon the Royal Anglian Regiment. The Speaker of the House and the Leader of the Opposition have both been advised of this intention.
As from Wednesday 11th February the first of a selection of pilot measures proposed in the Sustainable Traffic, Transport and Parking Plan will come into place at the St. Joseph’s School parking area.
The plan determined that parents and carers experience daily traffic problems during drop off and pick up times at St Joseph’s Schools and nursery.
