3 days till Christmas
When did that happen? I can remember New Year’s Eve like it was yesterday and it seems that 2011 has vanished in the mean time. Not impressed!
But what a year it has been, we set up Your Gibraltar TV, and that’s something to be proud of for the year. Taking the time to look back and revisit the past year is often a scary process. You realise some of the things you have done you probably shouldn’t have, some things you wanted to do, you never did and most importantly how did your New Year’s resolutions go. I don’t know how many times I have made up a list of things I would start and things I would stop doing in the New Year.
Last year I decided I would give up smoking, well that lasted about 6 weeks and by mid February I was back in the swing of smoking… Not a great start to the year. Although I was doing well, all it took was one meeting with someone that lit up a cigarette and I thought I would join.
This year perhaps it is time to take a stand and make a new resolution to stop making resolutions. Lets make it a positive year with no hang-ups and no pressure on ourselves. This way we can’t fail…
Well with only two days left of shopping, Main Street has become a sea of people with bags, running around aimlessly trying to find last minute presents. It makes it easier to just not buy anyone anything… Bring back the M&S vouchers that you used to get from relatives that quite clearly didn’t want to have to think too much about their gift.
If not a pair of socks, that’s a classic Christmas heart warmer to unwrap on the morning of the 25th.
