Oct 30 - Prostate Cancer Awareness Coffee Morning Kickstarts Movember Campaign
A coffee morning was held today at the Mayor’s Parlour in City Hall to mark the start of the Prostate Cancer Awareness Group’s Movember campaign.
The Minister for Health, Dr John Cortes, said that he would put his “heart and soul” into promoting the group’s annual campaign which encourages men to grow a moustache during the month of November.
He said that he would continue to investigate options for more developed prostate screening.
John Diaz, the group’s Chairman, said that different campaigns throughout the years had been very effective in raising awareness. He said that this year’s theme was Star Wars and urged as many people as possible to get involved in supporting this worthy cause.
