Aug 19 - Miss Gibraltar Kayley Mifsud To Take Part In Charity Skydive Tomorrow

Miss Gibraltar Kayley Mifsud will be showing her daredevil side when she jumps 15,0000 feet out of a plane tomorrow morning in aid of the Calpe House Appeal.

Together with Faye Burfoot and Edwina O’Mahony from Gibraltar House, the trio will each take part in tandem skydives which will involve a full minute of freefall and which will reach speeds of around 130mph.

Kayley said: “Initially it was just Faye and Edwina who were going to do it and I said it sounded like a great idea but I’m really scared.

“I was asked if I wanted to take part in front of some of Gibraltar’s most important people and I couldn’t really say no.

“I haven’t thought about the skydive, and on Saturday I’ll do it because I’m in the moment, but my friends have been sending me videos of sky dives going wrong but they have actually been quite supportive and have donated towards the appeal!”

The sky dive will take place near Seville and Kayley will be making her way there with her parents.

Donations to the Appeal can be made via bank transfer to:

Account: The Friends of Calpe House Bank: The Gibraltar International Bank Sort code: 60-83-14

Or cheques (made payable to The Friends of Calpe House) sent to Edwina or Faye at: Gibraltar House, 150 Strand, London, WC2R 1JA.
