Feb 22 - Gibraltar National Dance Organisation Working Together With Childline

The Gibraltar National Dance Organisation (GNDO) recently met with Education Coordinators from Childline, in order to establish closer links between the two organisations.

“The purpose of the meeting was for Childline to inform us of the services they provide, and the various issues young people are facing today. The GNDO is delighted to have met with Childline, in order to provide information to their members, on how both teachers and dancers can make the most of Childline’s services,” said GNDO Secretary, Jolene Gomez.

Speaking on behalf of Childline a spokesperson said, “Childline works closely with voluntary organisations to promote awareness of safeguarding issues, as part of our preventative education strategy. We hope to develop our relationship with the GNDO as dance teachers work closely with our youth, and could be the first to spot any concerns.”

Both organisations say they are now looking forward to working together in the near future.
