St Mary’s First School and Nursery have supported Mr Donovan Galia with his weight loss challenge in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
At a school assembly, Mr Galia spoke about the importance of having a healthy lifestyle and what he aims to achieve.
Together with the Parent Association the school organised a ‘Fruity Day’ to promote healthy eating and at the same time asked for donations. Children were given a choice of a fruit to eat during their break time instead of their usual snack. The school collected £280.
