Aug 03 - Calpe House Trust Receives £7,000 From Local Skydivers

A group of 30 people took part in a 15,000 feet tandem skydive in Seville last month, raising £7,000 for the Calpe House Charitable Trust.

Today, a cheque for £7,000 was handed over to Charlie Marfe and Deborah Huxley by organisers from Charity SkyDive Gibraltar Michelle Manning, Maria Palma, Alina Deac and nurse Cicy D’Cunha, who also took part.

Each year the Charity SkyDive Gibraltar group choose a local charity to donate their money to, and this year it will go towards funding the renovation for the new Calpe House in London.

Thrillseeker and organiser of this year’s event, Michelle Manning, told YGTV said they were approached by the Calpe House trustees and after meeting with them they decided this would be the charity they'd raise money for this year.

Michelle explained that every person who signed up had to raise a minimum of £160 when signing up to take part in the skydive, with most skydivers raising much more for the charity.
