Oct 02 - Cancer Relief Coffee Morning “A Tremendous Success” – Over £3,400 Raised
Organisers have said that ‘Gibraltar’s Fourth Biggest Coffee Morning’, which was held last Friday 29th September at the Calpe Rowing Club, was a “tremendous success."
Some 300 supporters joined the fund-raising team at the venue and shared their cups of coffee or tea with friends and families all to raise the fantastic amount of £3,413.35 for Cancer Relief.
A spokesperson said: “Cancer Relief would especially like to thank the Calpe Rowing Club who allowed the charity to use the club premises for the event and Fi-Lo Catering who so generously provided the lovely food and hot drinks. We would also like to thank everyone who attended as well as our brilliant team of fund-raising volunteers for all their help. In addition to this our grateful thanks goes to the following: Bonmarche, Cadenza, Crafts4U, DHL, Essardas, F & F, Gibraltar Restaurant, Image Graphics, Janice Beauty Salon, La Patisserie, Marble Arc, M&S, Peacocks, Saccone & Speed, S. M. Seruya Ltd and Mr William Gracia, The names of the raffle prize winners, are being posted on the charity’s Facebook page “Cancer Relief Gibraltar and the Cancer Relief Centre”.
“Our goal is to make sure that no one has to face cancer alone. During the course of 2016, the Cancer Relief Centre supported over 228 people, both patients and loved ones through one or more of its supportive services. None of this would be possible were it not for the generosity of so many people in the community so once again, A HUGE THANK YOU to all our supporters!”
