Oct 11 - FC Hound Dogs Raise Funds For Special Olympics Gibraltar

For a number of years local football and futsal club, FC Hound Dogs, have held an annual fundraising drive the proceeds of which are traditionally split with a local charity. This year monies were raised through the hard work of club members, who sold raffle tickets at Eroski and Morrisons over a two-day period, and which culminated with a football marathon on the 23rd July.

A grand total of £2,000 was raised which far surpassed last year's endeavours and as a result of this FC Hound Dogs recently presented a cheque to Special Olympics Gibraltar for £1,000.

The cheque was presented to Annie Risso, the National Director of Special Olympics Gibraltar, by Sean Harrison, the President of FC Hound Dogs. Also present was Christopher Gomez, football manager.

Both the club and Special Olympics Gibraltar would like to thank all those people that bought raffle tickets, the football clubs who supported the tournament and anyone who in any way helped with the fundraising.
