Mar 20 - Captain Murchison Ward Donation

The Captain Murchison Rehabilitation Ward at St Bernard’s Hospital received a kind donation from Mr Giovanni Bagu and Mr Tyrone Ticknell - Smith today with the support of the Minister for Health Neil Costa and Dr Keith Gracia. The donation includes games, therapy equipment and a DVD player.

Activity Coordinator and therapist Miss Jayne Wink said she will make full use of the items donated for the benefit of patients at the ward and that this will contribute towards the patients’ recovery and rehabilitation.

Jayne and Conchi offer an array of activities and therapies which include music therapy, Thai Chi, art therapy, bingos and group discussions.

Jayne said: “Without this kind donation this activities would not be possible, so we are very grateful for Mr Bagu's and Mr Ticknell - Smith’s ongoing support.”
