May 07 - Mayor Presents $10,000 Worth Of Items To Rainbow Ward And St Martin’s School
During her investiture, Her Worship the Mayor, Kaiane Aldorino Lopez announced that Ms Morley, on behalf of 'Beauty with a Purpose' and the Miss World Organisation, had kindly donated $10,000 for the Mayor to use towards children in need in Gibraltar.
Her Worship took this opportunity to donate a number of items to both St Martin’s School and the Rainbow Ward at St Bernard’s Hospital. These items included wheelchairs, trampolines, outdoor sensory pads and iPads.
During the presentation, Her Worship said that ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ was the heart of Miss World and it had been a privilege for her to have witnessed first-hand the incredible humanitarian work it had achieved across the world.
With the donation, Her Worship was able to bring together her involvement with ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ and her current position as Mayor of Gibraltar through a charitable gesture. She said she believed this was “an amazing way” to link two of her great recognitions.
