Feb 26 - Cancer Relief Gibraltar To Hold Pancake Day Fundraising Event Next Tuesday
Cancer Relief Gibraltar will be holding their Pancake Day fundraising event on Shrove Tuesday 5th March at the Calpe Rowing Club.
They will be serving pancakes between 10am and 1pm.
Entrance is £5 and £2.50 for children under 12, for a pancake and a beverage.
There will also be a pre-ordered ‘take away’ service for those unable to attend the event.
Orders for pancakes can be placed by calling Yvette on 58008761 by no later than 1pm on Friday 1st March. The take-away pancakes, available for just £3, can be collected at the Calpe Rowing Club before 1pm on the day.
A spokesperson said: "Pancakes can also be enjoyed at any time at participating restaurants such as the Gibraltar Arms, Jury’s, Lord Nelson, O’Reilly’s, the Pancake Factory, Star Bar, The Bridge and Time Out. These restaurants, who have all supported the event in the past will kindly give a donation for every pancake served.
"Other people are opting to serve pancakes during their breaks at work and others are hosting their own events in clubs and different groups around Gibraltar. Why not do the same? For those who cook their pancakes at home, why not get families and friends together, get out your frying pans and enjoy a scrumptious pancake whilst at the same time making a donation to Cancer Relief Gibraltar?
"Anyone wishing to donate online may do so by going to the official 'Just Giving' website and from there search for 'Pancakes for Cancer Relief Gibraltar' to make their donation. Alternatively, those wishing to donate by cheque (made out to 'Cancer Relief Gibraltar' please) can send their cheques by post to the 'Pancake Day, Cancer Relief Centre, 5 South Barrack Road' or call Yvette to arrange collection.
