Apr 30 - Marines Take Part In 1664 Challenge
As part of the Royal Marines 350th Anniversary celebrations a number of Royal Marines are taking part in the ‘1664 Challenge’. The Challenge aims to raise £500,000 for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.
The event starts in Norway where they will ski 1664 miles, they will then sail 1664 nautical miles, cycle 1664 miles and finally run 1664 miles.
They have just finished the sailing element and their yacht HMSTC Endeavour is berthed at HM Naval Base for a few days.
