The Gibraltar Financial Services Commission recently organised its annual #FreeTheKnee campaign in aid of Prostate Cancer Support Group Gibraltar (PCSG). This year nearly £6,000 was raised for the charity.
This Saturday 18th August, Ocean Village will host the annual RAOB Charity Cardboard Boat Race & Marina Festival in aid of GBC Open Day and the Gibraltar Cardiac Association charities. This year there are 27 boats registered, so it’s set to be the biggest ever!
Bishop Fitzgerald Middle School’s head girl, Sarah Popham, and head boy, Kyle Segovia, presented a cheque of £500, at the school’s last assembly, to Tamara Colton of Little Smiles after Year 7 children and teachers led by Ms Caetano fund-raised during a school fete held in April.
As part of this year’s Remembrance events, the Government plans to project an image of a World War 1 ‘Tommy’ on the north face of the Rock in the run-up to Remembrance Day.
The new Calpe House in Norfolk Square, Paddington was formally opened today by Sir Joseph Bossano who was representing both Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar and the charity Calpe House Limited, of which Sir Joe is Patron.
