Apr 06 - RGP Confirms Guardia Civil Gun Incident

The Royal Gibraltar Police has confirmed that the incident depicted on a video on social media which shows a gun being pointed by a Guardia Civil officer on the Spanish side of the border did in fact occur yesterday afternoon.

The RGP says it understands that it involved an Irish national who may have been unfamiliar with the border crossing. The RGP also understands that the incident was resolved with the individual in question being released without charge.

The RGP says it has no involvement in this matter and will make no further comment.
