    The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).

Jul 12 - Second Man Charged In New Harbours Robbery Investigation

A 27-year-old local man has been recalled from his Police Bail this morning and charged with Robbery and Possession of a Firearm.

Samir Douaoui was arrested by RGP detectives on 1st July in relation to the robbery at New Harbours on 21st June and was granted Police bail pending further enquiries and the results of forensic investigations.

He has been detained in police custody and will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.

Police say they continue investigating the incident and all lines of enquiry remain open.
