Earlier this week, an 11-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of taking a conveyance after he was allegedly seen “joy-riding” in a vehicle with other kids.

The incident is said to have occurred on Monday, and the child was arrested on Tuesday.

Enquiries are ongoing and the youngster is currently on police bail.

In a separate incident, a 20-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of taking a conveyance after he was stopped by police officers on Tuesday.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired, the possession of drugs and other traffic offences.
