Sep 12 - Jury Dismissed In Supreme Court Rape Trial

The jury was dismissed in a Supreme Court trial where the former Post Office CEO faced rape allegations. 
The court room was packed with friends and family, among them was Government Minister Gilbert Licudi. 
 
The defendant Christopher Riddell, 54, of Catalan Gardens maintains his innocence for two charges of rape. 
 
The Chief Justice Anthony Dudley thanked the jury for their time and said the trial could not continue after some matters have arisen which could have an impact on the trial. 
 
The case has been adjourned until after the new year and Riddell will next appear in court on Friday 22nd September.
