Jun 22 - Man Arrested On Suspicion Of GBH Following Marina Bay Incident

A 27-year-old locally employed Spanish man was arrested by uniformed officers at Winston Churchill Avenue yesterday at midday on suspicion of causing Grievous Bodily Harm.  

This was as a result of reports of an altercation between two men in the area of Marina Bay which left one individual lying on the ground. The assailant left the area after the incident.

The man was conveyed to New Mole House where he was later interviewed under caution before being bailed later in the afternoon. 

The victim, who appeared to have lost consciousness for a brief moment, was conveyed to St Bernard’s Hospital by GHA ambulance personnel for treatment and examination and was later discharged from hospital. 

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues.
