Aug 12 Cocaine seizure and charges - Olivero

Gibraltar CrimeShortly after midday on Friday the 9th of August 2013 officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police Drug Squad arrested a 25 year old local man after he was found in possession of controlled drugs.

Troy OLIVERO, aged 25, of Somerset Court, Laguna Estate has following investigations been charged with the following offences:

1)Possession of a controlled drug, approximately 103 grams of Cocaine.

2)Possession of a controlled drug approximately 15 grams of Cannabis Resin.

3)Possession of a controlled drug: a Cannabis Plant.

4)Possession with intent to supply a controlled drug, approximately 103 grams of Cocaine.

The investigations included the execution of a search warrant during which a number of relevant items were seized, including an amount of cash.

Olivero has been placed in police cells pending his court appearance at 10am on Monday the 12th of August.

Commenting on the arrests Superintendent Acris said "This investigation is yet another example of our continuing commitment to the fight against drugs use and drugs trafficking. This features prominently in our Policing Plan formulated by the Gibraltar Police Authority, reflecting the community's concerns."
