Nov 13 - Ocean Village Burglar Jailed

As a result of a number of Burglaries and Attempted Burglaries committed in the early hours of the 10^th and 11^th November at Ocean Village, detectives of the RGP’s Criminal Investigations Department instigated Operation “VERSTCOLT”, which led to the arrest of Polish National Rafal Piotr Osowicz, of no fixed place of abode, DOB 15/12/1975, POB Warsaw, Poland, unemployed, later that same day.

Osowicz was subsequently charged with the following offences and appeared before the Magistrates’ Court yesterday;

• One count of Burglary at The Cuban Restaurant on the 10^th November 2015
• One count of Attempted Burglary at The Cuban Restaurant on the 11^th November 2015
• One count of Attempted Burglary at the Bridge Bar & Grill on the 11^th November2015.
• One count of Attempted Burglary at Pizza Express on the 11^th November 2015.
• One count of Going Equipped to Steal on the 11^th November 2015.

 Upon his appearance in court the defendant pleaded ‘Guilty’ to all charges and was sentenced to seven months imprisonment on each count to run concurrently.
