Jan 07 - Local Man Launches Facebook Appeal To Help Recover Lost Scooter

A Facebook appeal was launched after a scooter worth more than £4,000 was stolen from the Landport car park at around 2pm, yesterday afternoon.

Keiran Richardson said he was “shocked” to discover his grey and silver Yamaha XMAX 250 had gone missing from where he had parked it just an hour earlier.

After reporting it missing and filing a complaint at the police station, a search was conducted however after no initial findings, the scooter is believed to be in Spain.

Yesterday evening, the 21-year-old launched an appeal on local community forums on Facebook urging people with any information to come forward.

Kieran, who purchased the scooter last year, said: “I was shocked to see that my motorbike was no longer parked where I left it.

“I immediately rang up the police just in case it was on its way to Spain and spent three hours to report it missing.

“Now I’m just hoping someone has any information about it to ring up the police.”

Any one who was in the Landport area at around 2pm yesterday afternoon, or saw anything suspicious, can ring up the RGP non-emergency number 200 72500 with any information.
