Jan 08 - Spanish National Jailed For iPhone 6 Robbery
A Spanish national was sentenced to 18 months in prison and ordered to pay £650 in compensation for stealing an iPhone 6 and a silver chain from a 15-year-old boy.
The incident dates back to February last year, when Brahim Douah Orram stole an iPhone 6 straight from the hands of the teenager in the Marina Bay area.
When confronted by the victim, he proceeded to push the victim down to the floor, kicking him and yanked the silver chain off the victim’s neck.
Orram was found guilty for one count of theft and one count of robbery.
At the Supreme Court today, Orram was sentenced to 18 months in prison and ordered to pay £650 in compensation to the victim for the robbery. There was no separate penalty for the theft.
