Mar 30 - Boschetti’s Steps Tragedy – One Year Since Family Of Four Found Dead
Today marks one year since a family of four was found dead in a flat in Boschetti’s Steps.
At 11:35am on Monday 30th March 2015, police officers forced their way into the residence following concerns about the family which had only recently arrived on the Rock.
On entering the flat, officers were confronted by a scene so gruesome and distressing that many of those involved in the investigation required counselling.
The facts were slow to emerge but, following December’s inquest, this much was established: John Shannon, while suffering from paranoid delusions, killed his partner Anarda De La Caridad Perez Friman, her four-year-old daughter Amanda Kristoffersen Perez and their six-week-old child Eve Shannon Perez before committing suicide.
The deaths shook Gibraltar and were widely reported on in the international and UK press.
