Jul 12 - Man Charged For Burglary Offences

A 33-year-old Spanish man was charged for a series of burglary offences in relation to a series of crimes investigated by CID officers which allegedly took place earlier in May and June this year.

Marco Antoñio Benavante Sanchez, of Flat Bastion Road, was charged yesterday as follows:

 One count of Burglary
 One count of Attempted Burglary
 Two counts of Theft
 One of Going Equipped

Some of the property stolen in the burglary reported, namely a television, games console and jewellery has also been recovered.

Whilst in custody Benavante Sanchez was also charged separately with one count of Theft and one count of Criminal Damage in connection with an outstanding crime report dating back to May this year.

He was detained in custody overnight to appear before the Magistrates’ Court this morning.
