Aug 08 - Local Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Possession Of Drugs

A 52-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of Possession and Possession with intent to supply Class B and Class C drugs, as well as for Driving Whilst Unfit through Drink or Drugs and Dangerous Driving.

The arrest on Friday came about after the man was initially challenged by Area Response Team officers in relation to his manner of driving, and subsequently found him to be in possession of approximately 145 Class C tablets concealed on his person. A search of the man’s residence also resulted in the seizure of approximately 145gms of cannabis resin.

The man is currently on police bail pending further enquiries.
