Aug 22 - RGP Rescues Jet-Ski User Near Runway

A Royal Gibraltar Police marine crew responded to information received from HM Customs officers on Saturday evening, following concerns regarding the whereabouts of a locally-registered jet-ski in Gibraltar’s western anchorage.

The RGP crew in turn notified the Gibraltar Port Authority with a view of instigating a search operation with other agencies. However, the vessel in question was located shortly afterwards by the RGP crew onboard the Sir John Chapple after it had been beached in an area adjacent to the western end of the runway.

The navigator was found to be in good health, and was assisted off the rocks whilst his jet-ski was secured with a line and towed back to the North Mole as it had developed steering problems.
